Description: Empowered Women of Diaspora (EWD) is a community organisation dedicated to empowering young people, particularly young women and those from diaspora and diverse cultural backgrounds. We support youth through education, personal development, leadership, cultural activities, mentoring and community engagement. Our aim is to help young people build confidence, develop new skills, connect with others and access opportunities locally and internationally. We are particularly interested in youth participation, inclusion, intercultural learning and international opportunities such as Erasmus+.
Main activities: Our main activities focus on supporting and empowering young people, particularly young women and youth from diaspora and diverse cultural backgrounds. Activities include youth workshops and training, mentoring and personal development, leadership and confidence-building programmes, cultural and community activities, youth networking and participation, educational support, volunteering, and international youth opportunities. We also aim to engage young people in Erasmus+ youth exchanges, training and intercultural learning opportunities.
